About This Episode
We never get over childhood trauma. It stays with us years beyond the moments we first lived it. On today’s episode of the Tuesday People Podcast, host Mitch Albom and producer Lisa Goich discuss how unresolved childhood trauma may be affecting your life today in ways you may not even realize. We hear from Morrie – in his own words – about how the loss of his mother at a very young age, brought up deep sadness, even in his final days. Through realization comes healing. We hope you’ll find some healing through today’s episode.
Oh yeah everyone has things that have happened during their childhood that leave a lasting effect. Mine is no different. Despite everything I had managed to take care of each of my parents separately because they divorced when I was young. I was the caregiver. I don’t regret. I didn’t get a chance or the means to do a lot of things myself but I felt good to help them out. I don’t dwell on things like that. I wanted to make sure that I would not do some of the things that they did. I think that relatives expected me to turn out somewhat like them but I didn’t . I saw what I didn’t like and moved ahead of that. That is life. I have moved much forward from that. Have a wonderful day.
