About This Episode
On today’s episode of the Tuesday People Podcast, Mitch Albom and co-host Lisa Goich are joined by a Delaware mother to discuss the challenges she, and so many other mothers are facing, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and at-home schooling. The lines are firmly drawn in the sand: One side are the mothers who, under no circumstances, want their children going back to school until it’s safe to do so. On the other, mothers who see their children being challenged by the online learning environment and want them back in a classroom setting. This is a must-listen episode for anyone with school-aged children.
Working with the public all the time I have teachers and students that I wait on all the time along with the general public and my mind tells me to be careful . I do my best. I have come this far. I have worked from the beginning of all this. I hope that in another year we can put it behind us. It is a shame how some see it differently with kids that learn from home and the ones that go to school. They don’t want to mingle. What amazes me this pandemic is that some don’t social distance or wear a mask or worry about the get together that they may have. . Some people think that everything is a hoax. They tell themselves that it will be over with after the election. Bars are full sometimes. So are restaurants. I only go to a restaurant once in a while. I have done carry out but I don’t think that overdoing and going to places in excess is a good idea. It is a risk that you take when doing so. I have seen my family a few times but we keep it small and we sit a part but we all have had a good time . I don’t worry about how many people or whom everyone has been around. I limit how often and wait until a couple of weeks before doing something else. That is how I deal with this virus. It doesn’t matter to me who comes in that I wait on. I just keep plugging along and hope for the best. Have a great day. Happy Fall. Nice weather so far.
