About This Episode
There is a moment in every person’s life where we have to say goodbye to someone we love. It’s what we do with that moment—and how we prepare for that moment—that really matters. On today’s episode of the Tuesday People Podcast, on the 26th anniversary of Morrie Schwartz’s death, host Mitch Albom discusses the last Tuesday he spent with his beloved professor, and how both he and Morrie brought closure to their very special relationship.
It is tough to watch people die sometimes. They depreciate over time and you know that things are getting closer. I like the part where you said that you think Morrie waited for some to leave the room and get coffee before he passed. I too said to myself that my husband planned it when I left for maybe a half hour or so and then he passed. He wasn’t awake any more at that point. While I was sitting there with him for a time I was getting phone calls on my phone and he would open up his eyes when he heard me talking for a few seconds at a time. I am sure he didn’t want me to see him take his last breath. It is hard to believe it is going on 8 years in March. With the holidays coming up it makes you think even more of them
