About This Episode
In today’s episode of the Tuesday People Podcast, Mitch Albom shares one final lesson from his new book, “The Stranger in the Lifeboat.” Often, when things don’t go our way, we blame God – or our higher power – for not coming through for us and answering our prayers. As Mitch discusses in the book, “God starts things .Man stops them.” Don’t blame the universe for things it’s not responsible for. Instead, take a look at ourselves and see if that isn’t the cause, perhaps, of some of your unhappiness.
There is no sense in cursing God because of anger over something that happens. I cannot ever think of doing that. I think people have to take things in stride and do the best they can. Some things are most unfortunate but things happen. They happen for a reason . We just don’t see it at the time. Later on it becomes clearer “Why” You are so right that there is enough wealth for everyone and food to feed everyone. People are selfish. I always wish for more. I do the best I can
