Tuesdays with Morrie: The Play Benefit Performance (Bay Harbor)
Join Michigan Colleges Alliance and Mitch Albom on Saturday, September 10 for the Michigan premier of Tuesdays with Morrie.
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the New York Times #1 bestseller, Tuesdays with Morrie live on stage, is the powerful and moving story of Mitch Albom, a hard-driving sportswriter, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. This tender yet profound play recounts the two men reuniting as Morrie faces his own mortality as an ALS patient. What starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a beautiful lesson in humanity, compassion, and friendship.
Saturday’s performance has a mission – making a college education accessible for kids from the Have Faith Haiti Mission and Orphanage through the Have Faith Haiti Scholarship Fund. The performance will include a special post-show talk with Mitch, the actors, and Have Faith Haiti scholars.
A VIP ticket includes ($225):
- Meet and Greet opportunity with Mitch Albom
- Pre-performance gathering beginning at 6:00PM with live music, beverages, and hors d’oeuvres.
- Signed copy of “Tuesdays with Morrie” (25th Anniversary Edition)

About the run: In celebration of the 25th Anniversary edition of Tuesdays with Morrie, we’re proud to announce several productions of its theatrical adaptation in August and September. This is the first time the play has been produced in Michigan. Michigan’s own Water Works Theatre Company is touring this powerful affirmation of life and friendship, revived from its recent and successful run at Theatre J in Washington, D.C. in the fall of 2021. The play starts Cody Nickell and Michael Russotto and is directed by Jenna Place.
