About This Episode
On today’s episode of the Tuesday People podcast, host Mitch Albom discusses fame, and what it means for those who live their lives in the public eye. With fame comes scrutiny. Yet everybody wants their 15 minutes without thinking about the consequences of how fame can change lives. And not always for the better. We hear from Morrie as he talks about what it was like to receive his first taste of the spotlight after his initial interview on Ted Koppel’s “Nightline.” Little did he know then, that his star would still be shining brightly, and inspiring people worldwide, almost 30 years later.
So glad that you are writing the screenplay for your book The Stranger In The Lifeboat. That will be good to see. I think you have handled fame quite well. Your wife has always stayed out of the public eye. You are always under the private eye and others cameras. I like the way that you are down to earth person who doesn’t let fame come into the way of knowing the little guy. You don’t place yourself above others.
Always enjoy listening to the podcast.
