• On the Passing of Anthony "Cass" Castelow

February 23, 2015 -- I am so sorry to have to tell you that our dear friend and inspiration Anthony  "Cass" Castelow died last night from heart issues. As you may have read in my accounts of him in the book "Have A Little Faith" (or the TV movie in which he played himself). Cass was a one-of-a-kind  man who proved you never give up on anybody.

  • A Time to Help Project: Downtown Boxing Gym Youth Program

    April 11, 2015, 9:30 – 12:00 pm

Downtown Boxing Gym Youth Program (DBG) develops good citizenship in urban youth through strong academic support, a demanding boxing program, and a connection to the community through voluntary service. Volunteers will prep interior and exterior walls for painting, paint interior offices and concrete masonry unit walls. Bring your own work gloves, and if you have dust masks, paint scrapers, hammers, Phillips or flat screwdrivers, paint brushes or rollers.
